Allison Janney

AllisonAllison Brooks Janney was born on the 19th of November, 1959. 2. She is an American actor. Her performance on screen as well as stage have been a hallmark of her career that spanned three decades. Janney received nominations for two Tony Awards and has been recognized with the Academy Award as well as an award from the British Academy Film Award. Janney was born in Boston as a child, but was raised on the streets of Dayton (Ohio). Her career began when she earned a scholarship to studies at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art when she completed her studies at Kenyon College. Janney became a television star in 1999 in the role of C. J. Cregg who played the character in NBC's drama series The West Wing (2000-2006). She was awarded the award for four Primetime Emmy Awards for this part. In 2014, she won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding guest actor in a Drama Series for her role as Margaret Scully on the Showtime period drama Masters of Sex. Her most well-known role was her character Bonnie Plunkett.
