Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah works as an Indian performer, actress and musician. Her main work involves focused on Tamil or Malayalam films. Her first appearance as an actor was in the Tamil film Pachaikili Muthucharam, and her Malayalam debut with Annayum is in the film. Andrea Jeremiah was born into an Anglo-Indian family in Arakkonam Tamil Nadu. Andrea Jeremiah's Father is a Lawyer at the Madras High Court. Also, she has a younger sister, currently employed as a research assistant in Leuven Belgium. Jeremiah was raised as a child in Chennai. He went to National Public School. After his graduation, he attended Women's Christian College. Andrea began playing piano during her eighth year. Young Stars is a Jackson Five kind of group which was her first group when she was 10 years old that was the basis of her singing and music career. Also, she was a theatre artist in her college and was a part of several stage plays organised in collaboration with The Madras Players and EVAM. Andrea served as president of Women's Christian College's Student Senate. Andrea started her career in theatre through Girish Karnad's Nagamandala. She acted in new leo coffee advertisement with the actor Shiva in 2006. Also, she was a part of a serial which relayed in Podhigai channel. She performed throughout India. She had a small role on the Kanda Mudhal final (2005). After she rendered a song for Gautham Vasudev Menon's Vettaiyaadu the director asked her to join in the role of a lead female characters in his upcoming project Pachaikili Muthucharam. Andrea plays Kalyani in the film which is a remake of James Siegel's novel Derailed. The husband of the character is involved in an affair and is blackmailed by her husband. Andrea got the part of Kalyani after Simran Shobana, Tabu and other actresses were approached. It was first released in early the year 2010. In August 2011 Venkat Prabhu made his debut with the multi-starrer Mankatha. It was her turn to take on a lesser supporting role. The actress made her Malayalam debut in a film with Rajeeev's Annayum Rasoolum in 2013.
