Anita Sarkeesian has been a Canadian and American feminist media critic for more than 20 years. She is well-known as a public speech writer. She is the founder of Feminist Frequency the site with videos and guest posts analyzing the portrayals of females in pop culture. Anita Sarkeesian a Canadian American media critic. Feminist Frequency examines the way women are represented in pop culture. She's determined to dismantle stereotypes of women as they are depicted in pop culture. In addition, she works to raise awareness about online harassment targeted towards women as well as marginalized groups of people. Sarkeesian who has a Master's in the field of Social and Political thought in the field of social and political thought from York University, is a popular public speakers. She has delivered speeches at TEDxWomen XOXO festival and United Nations Broadband Working Group to Gender. When she was a student at the university, Sarkeesian became fascinated by the issue of gender and rights for women from a young age. A woman with ambitions to create a web series that examined the representation of gender in video games was targeted by an online campaign. However, the attacks did not discourage her. She was only able to strengthen her position as a feminist journalist. To honor the numerous contributions she has made to feminism, she is awarded numerous prizes. Anita Sarkeesian was a multi-award winning media journalist. She is also the founder and director of Feminist Frequency an educational non-profit organization that explores pop culture depictions of women.
