Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy, a half-Spanish, half-English woman was born on the 16th of April 1996 in Miami Florida. She is the daughter of Dennis Alan Taylor, a former banking executive and Jennifer Marina Joy, a psychologist is Anya Taylor-Joy. The father of her mother, who is Argentinean of Scottish as well as English descendant is also her mother. She is Spanish with English roots. Taylor-Joy is the youngest of five children, four are from Taylor's father's prior marriage. The family was at Buenos Aires until she was six, after which they moved to the Victoria area of London. Taylor Joy states that the move to England was a very difficult experience. She was not willing to study English and hoped she could move back to Argentina. Hill House, a school within the same district as Northlands was required to take her. Later she attended Queen's Gate School and studied ballet. When she was 16, she quit school to pursue a profession as an actress full time. At a very young age, Taylor-Joy knew that she wanted to be an actor and her goals were realized when she was offered the opportunity to model Sarah Doukas the founder of Storm Management.
